This is an old farm belonged to my Uncle, Kenny Buck. He bought 150 acres in southwest Indiana back in the 1950's and sold the timber off half the property and made more than twice as much as he paid for the entire 150 acres. Deals like that are as long gone as the 1950's. The old homestead was as typical as you can get, additions on to the house was added as families grew, originally the house had no pluming or electric, a classic metal roof, and the old tire swing was there as long as I can remember. It’s long gone now, but from my photos it made a great miniature painting subject for my first attempt with the WPA technique.
